BACKGROUND
YenetaNet is an acronym that stands for 'Yeneta' (teacher) and 'Net' (network). It is designed to help teachers use online access to improve their students' knowledge and skills.
YenetaNet was established in 2018 with the aim of focusing on helping students and teachers using technology resources. Based on this, an application called YenetaNet was launched to modernize the teaching and learning process and enable students to achieve high scores.
Recognizing that education plays a key role in the development of a country, YenetaNet was re-established in 2020 with the aim of expanding the scope of its recognition and contribution to education and helping various sectors. These areas are YenetaNet EDUCATION, YenetaNet DIGITAL, YenetaNet TRAINING & CONSULT and YenetaNet SUPPORT.
FOUNDER BIO
ERMIAS SHASHIGO
Ermias Shashigo is the founder and CEO of YenetaNet.
Using his more than 8 years of experience, he is making a significant contribution to modernizing the teaching and learning process by using information and communication technology resources and to producing a qualified generation to take charge of the country.
He is also an educationalist who has contributed two reference books on information communication technology for high school students (Marathon Information Communication Technology for Grades 9–10 and Grades 11–12) during his career.
He also won medals for two consecutive years in the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Competition by the Ministry of Science and Technology for his contribution to improving the learning process of students with the help of technology and for his various creative works.
He is also an innovator and entrepreneur who obtained a certificate of ownership by registering various creative works at the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office (EIPO).
He also established the Ethiopian Entrepreneur Association (EEA) to help entrepreneurial owners at the national level realize their common goals and ideals.
