Ermias Shashigo
Ermias Shashigo is the founder and CEO of YenetaNet.
Using his more than 10 years of experience, he is making a significant contribution to modernizing the teaching and learning process by using information and communication technology resources and to producing a qualified generation to take charge of the country.
He is also an educationalist who has contributed two reference books on information communication technology for high school students (Marathon Information Communication Technology for Grades 9–10 and Grades 11–12) during his career.
He also won medals for two consecutive years in the National Science, Technology, and Innovation Competition by the Ministry of Science and Technology for his contribution to improving the learning process of students with the help of technology and for his various creative works.
It has also been named a finalist and included in the top 10 of the 2020 UNESCO King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa Award for the use of ICT in education at the international level.
He is also an innovator and entrepreneur who obtained a certificate of ownership by registering various creative works at the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Office (EIPO).
He also established the Ethiopian Entrepreneur Association (EEA) to help entrepreneurial owners at the national level realize their common goals and ideals.
